Acceptance of terms
By installing the PenProof browser extension or using our website and API, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension and discontinue use.
The service
PenProof provides a browser extension that analyses web page text and returns an AI-likelihood score. The service is available in three tiers:
Free tier
Available to all users without registration. Includes up to 10 scans per hour, AI score and label, signal breakdown, and on-page badge. Does not include search result scanning.
Paid tiers (Basic & Pro)
Available via monthly or yearly subscription. Paid plans include unlimited scans, search result scanning (AI/human badges on Google and Bing results), and support. See our pricing page for current rates.

Account and billing
- • Subscriptions are processed by our third-party payment provider. By subscribing, you also agree to their terms of service.
- • You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- • We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. Contact us within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund.
- • Prices may change with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers keep their current rate until they cancel.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the extension or API.
- • Use automated scripts or bots to make bulk requests outside of the extension.
- • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to PenProof.
- • Abuse the free tier by creating multiple identifiers to circumvent usage limits.
- • Use PenProof results to harass, defame, or falsely accuse individuals of AI content generation.
Intellectual property
The PenProof extension, website, scoring algorithms, and all associated content are the intellectual property of PenProof. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the extension for personal or internal business use.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AIDETECT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DECISIONS MADE BASED ON ANALYSIS RESULTS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for violation of these terms, abuse of the service, or non-payment. Upon termination, your right to use the extension ceases immediately.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the extension or website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
